Synergistic effect of T. procumbens and C. gigantea with Ibuprofen

Analgesic and antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) generally increase the risk of gastric ulcer by inhibiting PGs synthesis. In this project we tried to reduce the ulcerogenic effect of Ibuprofen (NSAID)by reducing its dose after combining with Tridax procumbens and Calotropis gigantea on Wistar albino rats. By this way we can reduce the dose of NSAIDs as well as the use of combination therapy of H2 blockers/ Proton pump inhibitors, as the herbs we combined are having lack of ulcerogenic property.
