In this book, the environmental regulation and productivity of a city in region development are studied in detail. Along with the development of the economy, environmental pollution is an important issue for every country. The pollution generated by economic development has surpassed the ability of the environment to withstand environmental pollution. As a typical city in China, Tianjin has the traditional economic development mode following the industrial growth model that China has long relied on resource input and demographic dividends. There are also many problems to be solved behind economic growth. This book establishes different economic growth models based on the recent economic data of China to investigate the environmental regulation on regional development. Taking Tianjin as a example, the relationships between total factor productivity, technological innovation, spatial correlation and environmental regulation are discussed in detail in terms of some typical economic indicators.
