The Association between Nutrients and Cancers among Afghan Adults

Cancer is abnormal, uncontrolled growth of cells in a lump or mass that also destroys normal tissue. When the growth occurs in solid tissue such as an organ, muscle, or bone, it¿s called a tumor. Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally and is responsible for an estimated 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Globally, about 1 in 6 deaths is due to cancer, every year over 12 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer. According to recent research in Afghanistan, the number of new cases in 2018, both sexes, all ages is breast cancer 3 062 (15.7%), stomach cancer 1 430 (7.4%), lip, oral cavity cancers 1 377 (7.1%), esophagus cancer 1 312 (6.7%), lung cancer 1 030 (5.3%) and other cancers 11 239 (57.8%). Macronutrients and macronutrients have a strong association with cancers to reduce and increase the risk of cancer. Therefore, we aimed to assist the that the relationship between nutrients and cancers.
