Adam, a wannabe rock god with big dreams, is trying to figure out if he should follow his friends to L.A. to chase fame or take the safer route to college. Tracy, his longtime crush, is ready to break free from the only place she's ever known and head off to college-but leaving means letting go of more than just her hometown. As the clock ticks down on their final summer, the two find themselves thrown together by fate, awkwardly navigating their way through cheesy ballads, misguided crushes, and a lot of hairspray. With the soundtrack of the decade blaring in the background, they'll discover that sometimes the hardest thing to find is what's been right in front of you all along.
