Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2007 in the subject Engineering - Industrial Engineering and Management, grade: 1,0, Campus02 University of Applied Sciences Graz (Studiengang Innovationsmanagement), language: English, abstract: The bachelor thesis in hand compares biological and technical innovation strategies and analyses potential connexions between 'The Theory of Inventive Problems Solving - TRIZ' and 'Bionics'. The analysis focuses mainly on the 'Seven Pillars' and 'TRIZ Trends' of the innovation philosophy 'Systematic Innovation' as well as on Darwin's theory of evolution and the 'Ten Principles of Biological Design' of bionics. Consequently analogies and differences between biological and technical strategies are identified, descriptive examples are presented and the relevance of these perceptions for human innovation strategies is evaluated. As a result the combination of bionical and TRIZ-based techniques is recommended as a basis for a holistic, evolutionary-oriented human innovation strategy.
1970 Grew up on a small mountain farm in Styria, Austria. Was supported by my family to complete a higher education. Chose chemical engineering. Was in medical research and anorganic analytics. 1995 Chose to become a full-time mother. Started to learn how to design websites. Got a job as a web designer. Started and completed a degree course in innovation management (that is when I wrote both my BAC theses). 2008 Became self-employed, but as I was not successful enough, I went back to chemical engineering and formulation development. Got a job as innovation consultant in Tyrol, followed by a job as innovation manager in e-mobility. Went back to Styria, worked as team leader in technical documentation for an international cooperation. 2018 Self-employed again, working as a creative problem-solving coach and digital data designer. At the moment trying to fund my own creative problem-solving tool, based on my research and my bachelor theses - the Biognosis Toolbox.
