The History of the Battle to Save Kelly's Bush

In 1971 a group of thirteen women stood against the government of the day and a development company to prevent the destruction of one of the last remaining pieces of foreshore land on Sydney Harbour. They enlisted the help of Jack Mundey and the union movement who instigated the world's first ever green ban. Today, Kelly's Bush is a public reserve, all thanks to the efforts of thirteen ordinary women who achieved something quite extraordinary.
