The Information Society in an Enlarged Europe

This is a detailed analysis of the information society prevalent in the European Union in 2004, the year in which 10 new member states joined the European Union. Based upon careful data collection and rigorous analysis, the book presents a benchmark study of the 10 new member states and 3 candidate countries of the European Union, compared to the 15 incumbent countries. The author ranks the 28 EU members and candidate countries according to their level of information society development. The results are of importance to all managers and companies doing business in the IT sector in the European Union.
