The Siege of Kustrin

A graphic account of a bloody battle on the Eastern Front in the final months of World War II. Kustrin, about 50 miles from Berlin, was one of the final roadblocks standing between the Red Army and the Third Reich's capital, and the Germans defended it tenaciously--with high-school students and old men. The Germans were driven from Kustrin but forced teh Soviets into a sixty-day siege.
