The Truth About the Titanic

The Truth About the Titanic is a personal narrative of an American writer, soldier, amateur historian and real estate investor, Archibald Gracie who was one the Titanic sinking survivors. He survived the sinking by climbing aboard an overturned collapsible lifeboat. He was pulled into lifeboat No. 12, the last lifeboat to reach RMS Carpathia (the first rescue ship to arrive). Gracie returned to New York aboard Carpathia and immediately started workingon a book about his experiences aboard Titanic and Collapsible 'B'. This book is one of the most detailed accounts of the events of the evening; The author spent months trying to determine exactly who was in each lifeboat and when certain events took place. To this day, Gracie's book is one of the most popular books about the Titanic disaster.
