The ultimative resolution limit in the universe

Wissenschaftlicher Aufsatz aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Physik - Theoretische Physik, Technische Universität Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: According to recent progress in high resolved fluorescence microscopy literature presents relations for the spatial resolution limit with an infinite resolution of fluorescing pigments. We show that similar relations would also be found for the time resolution. According to information theory the resolution is limited by the capacity of the employed computer system. Therefore an infinite resolution is not possible although fluorescence spectroscopy might be still far away from the principal lower bound of resolution for arbitrary big and arbitrary stable systems.
