Theosophy or psychological religion

Fredrick Max Mueller (1823-1900), a German linguist, was one of the 19th century's most influential thinkers on spirituality. He skillfully combined the studies of language, culture, and religion to develop the discipline of comparative mythology. Mueller's most famous work is ¿The Sacred Books of the East¿. In this book, he describes the relation of the psychological to the physical and anthropological religion, the journey of the soul after death, the eschatology of the Avesta and the Vedanta Philosophy.
