This was for many thinker in the scientific discourse a reason to take part in a philosophical debate. In this paper I introduced the opposite views of Popper and Kuhn on the most important aspects in this debate. I also picked out others critical opinions by e.g. Watkins, Toulmin and Feyerabend. I stressed the fact that the debate has been carry on in many different aspects: theoretical, intentional, terminological, linguistic, communicational.
