Horst Dreier steht wie kaum ein anderer Staatsrechtslehrer für eine grundlagenorientierte Deutung und Interpretation des Grundgesetzes. Axel Tschentscher stellt die Volkssouveränität als Grund und Grenze der Verfassung auf den Prüfstand, wohingegen Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf der wechselseitigen Konstitutivwirkung von Freiheit und Gleichheit nachgeht. Abschließend fragt Andreas Funke danach, ob Europa Grund oder Grenze der deutschen Verfassungsurkunde sein kann. Eine Teilnehmerliste sowie das Schriftenverzeichnis des Jubilars runden den Band ab.
Fabian Wittreck took studies in Law and Roman Catholic Theology in Würzburg and finished his juridical dissertation in 2001. After obtaining the venia legendi for public law, legal philosophy and constitutional history in 2005, he began working as a lecturer at the Law Schools of Würzburg and Berlin. From 2007 to 2013 he held a professorship for public law, legal philosophy and sociology of law at the University of Münster. Since 2013 he chairs the institute for »Public Law and Politics« at the Law School of Münster University. He is among the principle investigators of the local Cluster of Excellence »Religion and Politics«. Horst Dreier was born in Hannover in 1954. After graduating from Hannover University Law School, he finished his dissertation in Würzburg in 1985. He obtained the venia legendi for public law, legal theory and administrative sciences in 1989. Afterwards, began working as a lecturer at the Law Schools of Würzburg and Heidelberg. From 1991 to 1995 he held the chair in public law and administrative sciences at the University of Hamburg. Subsequently, he accepted the chair of »Legal Philosophy, Constitutional and Administrative Law« at the Law School of Würzburg University. Numerous scientific awards and distinguished fellowships.
