Morphometric Analysis Of Nuclear Changes In The Invasive Tumor Front

The incidence of squamous cell carcinoma in the oral cavity is generally increasing world wide with high morbidity and mortality. Thus, there was a strong need for the development of new diagnostic tools that can help the clinician to define the most appropriate management for the individual patient. This work shows that histologic feature of oral squamous cell carcinoma differs widely from area to area with the same tumor and it is believed that the most useful prognostic information can be deduced from invasive front of tumor where the deepest and presumably the most aggressive cells reside which helps the surgeons in deciding on the individual's treatment plan.
