Pollution and Transport

The enhanced greenhouse effect is caused by increased atmospheric concentrations of gases like carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) and fluorine- containing compounds (HFCs, PFCs and SF6). The enhanced greenhouse effect will result in global climate changes and as a result will probably affect such aspects as world food production and ecosystems. Scientifically speaking, there is currently a fair level of consensus about the relationship between human activities and climate change.
