Studies on composition of Medicinal Herbs

Medicinal herbs have been identified and used throughout human history. Herbs have the ability to synthesize a wide variety of chemical compounds that are used to perform important biological functions. Terminalia chebula, Phyllanthus embilica and Longan species are used in traditional medicines. These medicinal herbs contain the phytochemical constituents are total phenolic compounds, flavonoids like quercetin and rutin, gallic acid, ellagic acid, chebulinic acid, chebulagic acid, saponins , tannins etc. These medicinal herbs shows Pharmacological activities like anti-oxidant activity, anti-inflammatory activity, anti-cancer activity, anti-arthritic activity, wound healing activities etc.
